Made in St. Augustine® Joins Forces with Narrow Magazine
Music Pub Sponsors Local Tunes for Festival Stage
With more than 100 music venues and 1,000 musicians within 12.74 square miles, St. Augustine’s music scene is nothing to sneeze at. With the environment primed, St. Augustine now just needs that one breakout artist to secure the nation’s oldest city’s place on the music map.
Narrow Magazine aims to help make that happen. Proponents of local musicians, Narrow spreads the word about artists through St. Augustine’s free monthly music magazine. The publication is all about finding and helping local musicians become the next Jason Isbell, Dirty Heads or Twenty One Pilots. Narrow is well on its way to make the nation’s oldest city the country’s next great original music scene.
To that end, it seemed only natural that Made in St. Augustine® partner with Narrow to showcase some of the area’s up-and-coming acts as well as a few that have already begun their launch into stardom.
Founded in 2014, Narrow was named for history (St. Augustine’s Treasury Street is the narrowest road in the nation), the publication’s physical size (like a comic book) and attitude (opinionated, shorter content).
While Narrow is relatively new, the folks running the mag are music scene veterans. A few years ago, they helped create a scene in central New Jersey through an Indie label, music venue and endless promotion of artists. They’re well on their way to solidifying their second success story right here in St. Augustine.
Narrow’s content is edgy, sometimes provocative and often satirical – but always entertaining. And even more importantly, the pub is widely read and talked about helping to fan the flames of building a world-class local music scene.
Made in St. Augustine® is thrilled to have Narrow as the event’s official music sponsor. Check back soon for our line-up of performers. Who knows? Perhaps we’ll be showcasing St. Augustine’s breakout artist. You can say you saw them first at Made in St. Augustine®!
