When kids are asked why they play soccer, the answer is simple: Because it’s fun! (And really, what’s not to love about running around on a wide open field with a ball?)

Since 1983, Ancient City Soccer Club has been providing fun for the youth of St. Augustine and St. Johns County through the game of soccer.

ACSC is an organization of players, coaches, parents, and friends of the game of soccer who are dedicated to the development of players and coaches to their highest potential. ACSC was established to provide an unparalleled personal growth experience through the game of soccer and to promote a life-long love for the sport. 

The organization’s aim is to utilize the sport of soccer to foster strong personal relationships and an appreciation for cultural and ethnic diversity, and as a classroom for imparting life’s important values of character, discipline, commitment, teamwork, respect and fair play.

Ancient City Soccer Club has four different programs, geared toward youths ages 3 to 18.

Mini Kickers is a six-week program offered twice per year during the fall and spring recreational seasons.  This fun and energetic program introduces the youngest players to the game of soccer through games and activities. The kids have such a great time they don’t even realize they’re learning ball handling skills, balance, coordination – and the fundamentals of soccer.

Ancient City Soccer Club’s Recreational Program offers an environment that encourages player development and inspires enjoyment of the game. This program is intended to promote a player’s life-long love for the sport. The goal of ACSC for the Recreational Program is for players to learn the game of soccer, improve their skills and have fun while making new friends and learning important life lessons.

The Ancient City Soccer Academy provides progressive and systematic soccer training for enthusiastic 6 to 10-year-olds. The Academy is structured to create a culture where technical skill, creativity, and flair are celebrated. The technical base Academy players acquire is the foundation for their future success and enjoyment of the game.

Ancient City Soccer Club’s partnership with the Jacksonville Armada places players in a competitive training and playing environment that challenges them to reach the highest level of play. Armada teams travel around North Florida to compete against other top teams in the region.
